I believe that the majority of the "rules of love" come from things people see everyday on TV. They probably watched some main-stream media show like MTV or 90210 and try to copy some of the moves the actors use. I never really paid much attention to the so-called "rules"; mostly because I was ignorant of them. And besides, most of these rules are common sense. It doesn't take a genius to figure them out. Hell, you don't even need to think about it. Half the rules are fulfilled if you act like your normal self. So in a sense, you can basically be a master of the "rules of love" if you be yourself and use your common sense. However, if you do happen to break the rules, you'd probably recieve one of the following two punishments: a) silent treatment till they forgive you.... and b) get dumped. Simple as that, right? You don't have to read too much into it. The most major rules, or "common" ones, in my opinion; would be: 1) Don't be a jackass 2) Don't break rule #1 3) Don't be a selfish whore.
Another major influence on your love life would be online porn. Hey, just go to google and look up some ******* or ********* and bam, online Sex Ed. Virtual version of Current Life? I believe so. Hey, if you had a older brother or sister, just stalk them and you can pick up some tricks. Unless of course, your brother/sister is actually good at picking people up. Otherwise, stick to online porn and CUrrent-Life classes. One thing I don't like admitting is the fact that most people's relationships are majorly influenced by their friends. For some reason, when most people run into a roadblock in their relationship, the first people they turn to is their best friends to ask for advice and help.
