Religion

What is religion? Is it belief? Is it blind faith? No one knows what it is or why they believe in it... But it's there isn't it? A strong sense of reverence for a divine and all-knowing power that controls the world. Is religion something that you just follow? Do you just believe in what it states, do what it commands, and listen to it's sayings? That being said, wouldn't that make all religions a organized type of cult? They say if you die, you will transcend life and attain eternal happiness in Heaven or some other mumbo jumbo, does that justify you killing yourself or drinking purple Kool-Aid?

Why must people quarrel with each other over religion everyday? Christians vs Catholics, Catholics vs Protestants, Hindus vs Christians, Muslims vs Christianity... The list goes on forever. What is the point of debating which God is real and which God is false? You're all worshiping the same thing: a all-might, all-knowing being who sits on clouds and directs life like a Sims game. So what if he looks like a elephant, or if he looks like a white-bearded man? I hate how religion is involved in nearly everything in this world. People have started bloody-ass wars because of it, like the Crusades... And we had SEVEN of them. Hell, there's even people strapping bombs to themselves or doing some other radical form of fanaticism in the name of God. Yeah... I'm totally sure that God wants you to kill others in his name. Why don't you just kill off a whole species and say "God dosen't approve of your exsistence". If God didn't approve of their exsistence... WHY THE F**K WOULD HE CREATE THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE?

Hypocrisy is rife within religion. A good example would be Atheists... They all b!tch about not believing in God and that God doesn't exist... Day after day, I somehow see some sort of argument involving some Atheist saying "I don't believe in anything". Well... Aren't you a hypocrite? Of course Atheism is a religion... You're believing that there is no God, which is still a form of faith. I'm sorry to say that I myself am a Atheist. Don't get me wrong, I don't really care is someone chooses to be religious... I just resent the idea that some divine jackass is up there in the sky controlling every aspect of my life. I resent the very idea that everything I do has already been predetermined by a so called "fate" and "destiny". If it were true, then whatever I do in life wouldn't matter. I could completely forsake school and still be able to attain a good job with high pay; since it's all predetermined, right?

Don't you hate it when people knock on your front door and when you open it, you're greeted with some overly polite gentleman or gentlewoman that seems to be hyped up on happy pills asking if "you've heard the good news"? I never really understood why people waste their time doing that crap. If I wanted to convert, I'd convert... You appearing on my doorstep with a creepy smile and holding a Bible isn't helping your cause. Eventually, I've gotten tired of answering the door for salesmen and marketers... So I just straight up ignore the doorbell nowadays. I also hate how you have to be polite and courteous to the people... You're taking up my time, standing on my doorstep, and wasting my patience with your religious stuff. I always have a hard time resisting the urge to slam the door in their faces nowadays, so I just stand there with a wooden smile on my face listening to them for a couple minutes, tell them that I'm too busy for religion, and then I slam the door in their face.
